Acquiring real arms is not a shopping trip in Soltherra. It is a milestone. A character who starts play with a Longsword either saved for years, inherited it, or took it from someone who no longer needed it. The GM should treat weapons — especially blades above a Short Sword — as meaningful rewards, not incidental loot.
